CAL-PRO expansion vessels by Zilmet absorb the water volume variations in closed heating systems. They maintain constant pressure, which helps reduce energy consumption and saves you money. They're available in a broad range of capacity from 4 litres to 900 litres, making them an ideal solution for various domestic and commercial unvented central heating systems. CAL-PRO vessels work by accommodating the increased water volume during system heating in an unvented circuit. Thanks to the pressurised membrane, water can enter or leave only during periods of heating and cooling.
The sturdy vessels consist of crimped or welded carbon steel shells and synthetic SBR (styrene-butadiene) rubber according to DIN 4807-3 norms ('Expansion Vessels, Elastomer Membranes; Requirements and Testing'), which maximise tank drawdown for all capacities. They're painted on the outside with red epoxy polyester powder coating which provides an elegant, long-lasting finish. CAL-PRO vessels can operate between -10°C and 90°C and have a maximum working pressure between 1.5 bar and 6 bar depending on their capacity.
