Safety Valves
Safety valves are designed to prevent pressure from building up to excessive levels in a pressurised plumbing system. The valves ensure maximum flow rates and that system failure is minimal. They can be used for separate specific system relief or combined pressure and temperature relief to deal with rising temperatures and pressures.
A safety relief valve (SRV) is essentially a precautionary valve that opens automatically when system pressure exceeds a preset limit. Once the pressure levels are safe, the valve returns to its closed state and reseals. This helps keep the system operating safely, in turn keeping property and life safe from system damage or explosions.
