Designed to protect your home's windows and doors from the threat of intruders, the Netatmo Smart Alarm System with Camera is an easy-to-install solution that comprises door/window sensors, a 1920 x 1080 resolution smart camera and a 110dB siren.
Once you have fitted the accelerometer and magnetometer sensors to your external door or window, the system can detect any movement, such as the window or door opening, including attempted forced entry. Accelerometer sensors will detect the acceleration of an object, while the magnetometer will pick up movement in the magnetic field.
The Netatmo smart camera, which has a 130° field of view, needs to be positioned within 5-metres of the door or window. When used on an external door, it will help the system to identify individuals entering and exiting your property throughout the day. Thanks to its state-of-the-art facial recognition technology, the camera will identify family members and deactivate the system when it recognises familiar faces, removing the risk of false alarms. When the camera has identified all known occupants leaving the home, it will automatically reactivate the system, leaving your home fully protected whilst you are away.
If an unknown intruder does attempt to enter your home via a secure door or window, the system will trigger an alarm via your smart siren. This siren will produce an incredibly loud 110dB alarm, designed to startle and scare off the intruder. You can also programme your system to play pre-recorded noises to make it sound like someone is still in your home. Once the alarm sounds, you will also receive a notification on your smartphone, alerting you to the intruder along with a video of the event. The system includes a microSD card to help you store your videos, though you can also save your videos in a personal Dropbox or FTP server.
