On the underside of each Palio Rigid Lampione tile is a built-in acoustic backing, which eliminates the hassle and cost of having to install a separate underlay before you can begin to lay your Karndean flooring. It will reduce noise transfer to the rooms below by as much as 19dB, ensuring no disturbance to you when people are walking around upstairs.

Palio Rigid is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems that are limited to a maximum temperature of 27 degrees Celsius. Its waterproof R9 slip-resistant rating will provide minor protection against slipping when wet and is best suited to rooms, such as bedrooms and living rooms, where exposure to water is minimal.

Installation Tips

Easy to lay flooring for experts and DIY enthusiasts alike, Palio Rigid's innovative patented 2G click-locking mechanism allows you to install your planks in the same way you would lay standard laminate flooring. Its simple tongue and groove design remove the need for adhesives to hold the plank in position. The only tool you will need to lay your flooring is a sharp concave bladed knife, which you can use to cut your planks to size. For best results, gently score a line across the width of your plank surface and snap it by keeping it face-side up and applying downward pressure on either side of your line.

Please note:

A 5mm expansion gap is required when installing your flooring.
Please refer to the installation instructions for rooms with high temperature fluctuations. While Palio Rigid is compatible with underfloor heating systems, the temperature must not exceed 27 degrees Celsius.
With a slip resistance rating of R9, this tile provides low levels of protection against slippages. For this reason, they are best suited to rooms that rarely get exposed to water. If, however, you wish to lay R9 tiles in a bathroom, it is vitally important you use a towel or bathmat to dry your feet before stepping onto your LVT floor.
