The darkest design in the entire Palio LooseLay range, the Vulcano Luxury Vinyl Tile will bring a sleek and modern finish to any room. Designed for installation by non-expert fitters, Palio LooseLay has a friction grip backing that is designed to secure the product in place using a combination of weight and friction.. As adhesives are not required, you can also remove tiles, whether you need to replace damaged ones or you wish to access subfloor utilities, such as pipework.

The Vulcano stone-effect design brings an on-trend minimalist style and is particularly well suited to rooms with neutral-toned décor and plenty of natural light. Despite the tile's deep charcoal shades, it also consists of subtle splashes of light grey. These contrasting tones help elevate the Vulcano into becoming a chic and contemporary flooring option.

With Palio LooseLay, the clue is in the name. It is laid loose, meaning there is no need for you to apply an adhesive or bonding agent during installation. The tiles actually bond to the subfloor through its K-Wave Backing, which uses friction to grip the tiles in position. If you ever need to remove a tile to access subfloor utilities, or you want to replace a damaged tile at any point, you can do this with relative ease. Simply use a utility knife at the tile's edge to gently and carefully lever the tile out.

The Palio LooseLay Vulcano features a highly durable 0.55mm PVC embossed wear layer and hygienic K-Guard+ PU surface protection. It will reduce noise transfer to the rooms below by up to 13dB and is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems limited to 27 degrees Celsius. If installed in rooms where spillages may occur, its R10 slip resistance rating provides moderate protection against slipping, making it ideally suited to bathrooms, hallways and kitchens.

Preparation Tips

Before laying Palio LooseLay, it is important to ensure your subfloor is as smooth, flat and as level as possible. If you are laying your planks onto something like flooring grade plywood or similar, ensure that screws do not protrude above the surface and the heads are filled in. You will not be required to remove skirting boards, nor is there a need for expansion gaps.

Please note:

A tackifier is recommended for thresholds and rooms greater than 16m squared to provide extra grip to the subfloor.
With a slip resistance rating of R10, this tile provides moderate protection against slippages and is suitable for rooms that encounter occasional wet conditions. When used in a bathroom, it is advised that you use a bath mat as an additional precaution.
