Probably the greatest benefit of opting for Palio LooseLay Vivara over other flooring types is that it allows you to remove or replace tiles at any time. This handy feature means you can replace tiles that are damaged or temporarily remove tiles so you can access subfloor utilities. To remove the tile, all you'll need is a standard utility knife. Carefully insert the blade at the edge of your tile, making sure not to damage adjoining tiles, and gently lever the tile upwards.

Suitable for any room, Palio LooseLay does not require adhesive to bond the tile to the subfloor. Instead, its K-Wave Backing uses friction to grip the tile securely into position. If you're installing upstairs, the tiles reduce noise transfer to the rooms below by 13dB, and if you're laying the tiles in your bathroom or kitchen, its R10 slip resistance rating ensures there's moderate protection against slipping. For rooms with underfloor heating systems, Palio LooseLay is fully compatible, providing the temperature does not rise above 27 degrees Celsius.

Preparation Tips

Before laying Palio LooseLay, it is important to ensure your subfloor is as smooth as possible. If you are laying your tiles onto something like chipboard, ensure that screws do not protrude above the surface and the heads are filled in. You will not be required to remove skirting boards, nor is there a need for expansion gaps.

Please note:

A tackifier is recommended for thresholds and rooms greater than 16m squared to provide extra grip to the subfloor.
With a slip resistance rating of R10, this tile provides moderate protection against slippages and is suitable for rooms that encounter occasional wet conditions. When used in a bathroom, it is advised that you use a bath mat as an additional precaution.
