Thanks to its K-Wave Grip Backing, Palio LooseLay bonds to the subfloor through friction rather than adhesive. This backing will ensure tiles remain securely gripped to the floor and will not move once installed. The tiles can, however, be removed should you need to replace damaged tiles or you need to access subfloor utilities, such as waterpipes, for maintenance and repairs.

The Palio LooseLay Lampione is suitable for rooms with 95% relative humidity, which makes it a perfect choice for kitchens, conservatories and bathrooms. As well as the hardwearing 0.55mm PVC embossed wear layer and hygienic K-Guard+ PU surface protection, its R10 slip resistance rating ensures a reduced risk of slipping when wet. It is also compatible with underfloor heating systems that are limited to maximum temperatures of 27 degrees Celsius.

Preparation Tips

Before laying Palio LooseLay, it is important to ensure your subfloor is as smooth, flat and as level as possible. If you are laying your planks onto something like flooring grade plywood or similar, ensure that screws do not protrude above the surface and the heads are filled in. You will not be required to remove skirting boards, nor is there a need for expansion gaps.

R Rating (Slip Resistance): R10

Please note:

A tackifier is recommended for thresholds and rooms greater than 16m squared to provide extra grip to the subfloor.
With a slip resistance rating of R10, this plank provides moderate protection against slippages and is suitable for rooms that encounter occasional wet conditions. When used in a bathroom, it is advised that you use a bath mat as an additional precaution.
