HTF50 Heat Transfer Fluid by JTM is a blend of mono ethylene glycol inhibitor and biocide which protects heating systems against frost from -4°C to -50°C as well as corrosion, limescale and bacteria. It's compatible with all metals found in heating systems, including aluminium-based pH stable ones, making it a versatile and convenient solution. The addition of biocide prevents bacteria growth and is essential for any low-temperature systems.
HTF50 is a concentrate, so you'll have to dilute it with water before use. In order to ensure adequate corrosion and biocidal protection, the recommended minimum "in use" concentration of the product is 25%. This heat transfer fluid will provide frost protection if diluted correctly as per the following dilution chart: |10% by system volume for protection at -4°C | 20% for protection at -9°C | 30% for protection at -14°C |40% for protection at -22°C | 50% for protection at -34°C | 75% for protection at -48°C | 80% for protection at -50°C
