The BodenWärme Electric Underwood Heating Kit with a White iSTAT Thermostat adds luxury and warmth to your living room, kitchen, or bathroom. Designed for laminate and wood flooring, it provides consistent heating with minimal floor height increase, thanks to its ultra-thin 1mm encapsulated wire. The dual-core wire with a single connection point ensures easy installation, while durable fluoropolymer insulation guarantees long-lasting performance.
The smart iSTAT thermostat features WiFi connectivity for remote control via iOS/Android, a touchscreen for precise input, 7-day programming, adaptive learning, and Holiday Mode for energy efficiency. Further benefits include the open window feature preventing heat loss, while the Key Lock function stops accidental changes.
First work out the area of the whole floor space by multiplying the length of the floor by the width. You should then subtract any fixed furniture from the area with a clearance of less than 50mm above the floor. This will eradicate the risk of causing hot spots in your room. When you have a total area minus the deductions, you should deduct a further 10% from your total as this will allow for the spacing between cables and around the perimeter of the room. This final number is your required kit size in m². A single thermostat can control up to 24m².
