This push-fit brass service valve from John Guest Speedfit is for the connection of plastic and copper pipes. This valve is used to stop the flow of water to a tap in case of emergency via a 1/4 turn of a screw on the valve.
If the need arises to demount the connection of this valve, push the collet towards the body of the fitting and pull the pipe to release. The installation can be reduced by around 40% against traditional fixing methods.
