The mineral wool pre-formed sections of stone wool insulation from Rockwool, which consist of a layer of factory applied foil facing a self-adhesive lap, are produced pre-slit to allow for easy application. The sections provide acoustic and thermal insulation to ventilation, heating and air conditioning pipes with temperatures from 0°C to 250°C. They are 25mm thick and 1 metre long and suitable for pipe which are 17mm to 114mm in diameter, which makes them extremely versatile.
The Rockwool insulation sections are suitable for a wide range of applications in residential and industrial settings. Thanks to the self-adhesive lap, they simply snap onto the pipework. You can then use backing tape to fully seal the joint.
