The Speedfit underfloor controller by John Guest will provide heating to a room or conservatory measuring up to 30m² as long as the boiler which serves the existing heating system can take the extra output from 2KW to 3KW. The unit is pre-assembled and pre-wired, allowing for fast and simple installation. You can plug it into any electrical socket or spur for even greater convenience. The controller has integral ball valves which allow for isolation from the primary heating system, an adjustable blending valve and a six-metre head circulation pump. Thanks to the anti-vibration mounting bracket, it operates silently so as not to disturb anyone in the room.
Speedfit recommend connecting the controller to the main central heating flow and return distribution system, but it's also possible to connect it to the nearest radiator supply pipe. If you do that, however, the pump won't be able to operate independently and can only obtain hot water when the radiator system is on. The controller's hot temperature supply range 60°C -80°C, with a maximum supply pressure of 10 bar.
